Getting started

This page is what most users see first when they log in: the dashboard. It's also where the ? button takes you when you're not on a specific module.

Your dashboard

What appears on your dashboard depends on your role.

If you're a resident or tenant

  • Outstanding balance — what you currently owe. Click for the full invoice list and the Pay now button.
  • Open maintenance tickets — anything you've reported that's still in progress. Click any row to see the assigned technician, photos, and status updates.
  • Upcoming amenity bookings — the next pool / gym / function-room reservation you've made.
  • Active parking permits — vehicles you're currently allowed to bring in, with their expiry dates.
  • Recent broadcast — the latest facility-wide announcement from management.

If you're a facility admin

The dashboard becomes a control panel: - Module tiles — every module enabled for your facility, with a quick count of items needing your attention (overdue invoices, unassigned tickets, expiring permits). - Today's activity — visitor arrivals, payments received, work orders closed. - Subscription status — which plan you're on, your billing cycle, and the next renewal date.

If you're staff (guard, housekeeper, technician)

Your dashboard shows your work queue — tasks assigned to you in the modules you have access to. A guard sees today's permit/visitor activity; a housekeeper sees their cleaning roster; a technician sees their open work orders.

Getting around

  • Module navigator (top bar): every module enabled for your facility, with icons. Click to switch.
  • Pin a module by clicking the next to its name — it'll always show first in your nav.
  • Global search (top bar) finds residents, units, permits, tickets, bookings, and invoices across every module at once.
  • Breadcrumbs show where you are. Click any segment to jump back up.
  • Help (?) opens this site for the module you're currently in.
  • Press Esc to close any open drawer (help, search, notifications).

URL shortcuts

CautaReside uses URL hashes for navigation, so you can bookmark or share any page:

  • #m/parking — opens CautaPark
  • #m/billing — opens Billing
  • #p/settings — opens platform settings
  • #u/<unit-id> — opens a specific unit's profile

Notifications

The bell icon in the top bar lists alerts that need attention — overdue invoices, expiring permits, unanswered tickets, new broadcasts. Click any to jump to it.

You can also opt in to: - Email — receipts and important account updates (always on) - Push — in-browser notifications for time-sensitive items - Telegram — receipt delivery and reminders, sent to your Telegram chat

Manage these from Settings → Notification Preferences.

Offline support

Many CautaReside modules work offline. Look for the small sync indicator in the bottom corner — green means connected, amber means syncing, grey means offline. Anything you do offline (issue a permit, log a payment, close a ticket) is queued and pushed once you reconnect.

Install the app on your phone

CautaReside is a Progressive Web App (PWA), so you can install it like a native app from your phone's browser — no app store needed. After installing, it opens full-screen with a CautaReside icon on your Home Screen, works offline, and can show push notifications.

Quickest path — sign in, open Settings, scroll to the 📱 Install app card and tap Install now. The button picks the right install flow for your browser. If you're on iOS Safari, it opens a short instructions card; on Android Chrome / Edge, it triggers the OS install prompt directly.

If the Install now button doesn't appear (some browsers hide it once an install prompt has been used), follow the manual steps below.

iPhone / iPad (Safari)

iOS Safari doesn't show an automatic install prompt — you add it to the Home Screen yourself:

  1. Open CautaReside in Safari (Chrome / Firefox / Edge on iOS cannot add apps to the Home Screen — switch to Safari first).
  2. Sign in.
  3. Tap the Share button — the square with the up-arrow in Safari's bottom toolbar.
  4. Scroll the share sheet down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  5. Tap Add in the top-right.

A CautaReside icon appears on your Home Screen. Open it from there for the full-screen experience.

Android (Chrome, Edge, Samsung Internet, Brave)

Most Android browsers prompt automatically. If they don't, you can add it yourself:

  1. Open CautaReside in your browser and sign in.
  2. Tap the browser's menu (usually in the top-right).
  3. Tap Install app or Add to Home Screen.
  4. Confirm. The app installs to your launcher; you can move the icon to your Home Screen like any other app.

Desktop (Chrome / Edge / Brave)

Same idea on a laptop:

  1. Open CautaReside and sign in.
  2. Look for the install icon in the address bar (a small monitor with a down-arrow), or open the browser menu () → Install CautaReside.
  3. Confirm. The app opens in its own window with no browser chrome.

What you get when installed

  • Full-screen launch — no address bar / tabs taking up space, useful on phones especially
  • Home Screen / launcher icon — open in one tap
  • Push notifications — alerts come in even when the app isn't open (you still control which ones in Settings → Notification Preferences)
  • Offline mode — the same offline support as the web version, but the launch is faster because the app shell is cached locally
  • No app store updates — new versions deploy from our side, the installed app picks them up the next time you open it

Uninstall

Long-press the icon and pick Remove (iOS / Android) or open browser settings → Installed apps → CautaReside → Uninstall (desktop). Your data stays on the server — re-installing brings everything back.

Tips

  • The ★ pin is per-user, not per-facility. Pin the modules you use most so they're always at the front of your nav.
  • Hold Shift while clicking a search result to open it in a new tab — useful when comparing two units or invoices side-by-side.
  • The platform version is shown next to the help button. If support asks what version you're on, that's the number.
